National Sports Academy (NSA)

The National Sports Academy (NSA) – Sofia is the only specialized higher educational establishment in Bulgaria in the field of physical culture and sport. The NSA is granted full state accreditation, offering university degree programs (BSc, MSc, PhD) at three faculties: Faculty of Physical Education (Teachers); Faculty of Sports (Coaches); Faculty of Kinesitherapy, Tourism and Sport Animation.

The main missions of NSA can be listed as follows:

• To prepare highly qualified specialists with higher education;
• To realise fundamental and applied scientific research;
• To consolidate and develop the national traditions in the sector;
• To co-operate on national and international levels in the areas of education, science, sport, tourism and kinesitherapy.
